The first living tradition in Switzerland to be recognised by UNESCO, which inscribed it on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Fête des Vignerons unites generations and brings together people from towns, countryside and vineyards, locals and visitors alike, allowing everyone to surpass themselves by taking part collectively in a show unlike any other in the world.
The Fête des Vignerons pays tribute to the centuries-old winegrowing traditions of an entire region through a show and the crowning of the vineyard workers.
Inseparable from the Fête’s heritage, the arena is its emblematic feature. Overnight, it takes over Vevey’s Place du Marché and its Lake Geneva panorama from the town’s residents. With its superlative dimensions, the arena of the 2019 edition is gigantic and is already breaking the records of previous editions:
