In a few words
The Fondation Pierre Gianadda continuously presents major temporary exhibitions.
More than 10 million visitors have already admired works from private collections and major museums around the world, notably at exhibitions devoted to Klee, Goya, Rodin, Giacometti, Schiele, Lautrec, Moore, Modigliani, Claudel, Chagall, Braque, Degas, de Staël, Manet, Dufy, Miró, Gauguin, Bonnard, Kandinsky, Van Gogh, Picasso, Van Dongen, Morisot, Signac, Anker, Balthus, Erni, Renoir, Matisse, Zao Wou-Ki…
The aims of the Fondation Pierre Gianadda are simple. They combine the memory of a brother who died too young with the desire to promote the history of the town and bring it temporary cultural events, both musical and artistic:
- Ensuring the conservation and enhancement of the remains of the Gallo-Roman temple discovered in Martigny in 1976
- Providing the Cantonal Museums Service with premises to exhibit Roman objects discovered in Martigny, creating the Gallo-Roman Museum
- Using the exhibition halls and donated plots for cultural purposes
- Contributing generally to the cultural and tourism development of Martigny
We are delighted to be able to invite our clients to several concerts throughout the year. On the programme: a guided tour, drinks reception and concert.
