This is a story of trust, know-how and succession. Since 1958, Devillard has supported businesses in French-speaking Switzerland through their technological transformations — from duplicators to photocopiers, from fax machines to advanced IT solutions. Founded in Geneva by Marie-Thérèse and Roland Devillard, the company has grown in step with innovation and a deeply human approach to service.
Over the decades, the Devillard family made listening and proximity its hallmarks. In 1987, Claude and Marc Devillard took over and set the company on a growth strategy that expanded its expertise and regional footprint: IT, printing technologies, electronic document management, cybersecurity and interactive displays — a unique range of services in the French-speaking Swiss market.
Today, Devillard also means nearly 120 employees across four sites (Geneva, Renens, Neuchâtel and Sierre), annual revenue of around CHF 35 million and the trust of some 9,000 clients. Recognised for the quality of its services, the company anticipates its clients’ challenges — particularly in data security — as shown by its ISO 27001 certification obtained in 2025. Its in-house, available and responsive customer service has an average response time of 59 minutes: a promise of proximity kept every day.
Passing the torch to endure
After years of commitment and investment driven by the same entrepreneurial passion, Claude and Marc chose a succession led by the people who make Devillard. Rather than merging the group into a large external player or selling to financial investors, they wanted to preserve its local identity, its corporate culture and the central role of its employees.
In this spirit, management has been taken over by a duo from the leadership team: François Pflieger, previously Sales Director, and Luc Schenkel, Operations Director. From August 2025, they become joint CEOs and majority shareholders through a management buy-out. This internal succession is the result of careful joint preparation, both operational and commercial, to ensure a smooth continuity.
Carrying on, with experience and responsibility
The succession comes with reassuring arrangements: Claude Devillard now chairs the Board of Directors and remains a strategic consultant, while Marc continues his involvement as a board member. The continued presence of the former leaders bridges accumulated experience and new ambitions — support that preserves the company’s roots while opening up new perspectives.
As Claude Devillard puts it: “My brother Marc and I are delighted to hand over Devillard today to François Pflieger and Luc Schenkel, with whom we have worked in the management team for many years. We have full confidence in their professional skills and in their ability to take over the company while preserving its culture of quality, innovation and customer satisfaction.”
For their part, the new co-CEOs share this responsibility with a clear goal: to continue developing Devillard with respect for its employees and clients. “Taking over the Devillard group today and carrying it forward, preserving its identity while ensuring its growth, is an honour and a personal and professional challenge we are happy to take on,” says Luc Schenkel. François Pflieger adds: “It is a privilege and a great responsibility to take the reins of Devillard today. We are opening a new chapter in the company’s life, aware of the stakes and challenges ahead.”
What stays the same — and what changes
What remains intact: the commitment to service quality, closeness to clients, regional roots and the family values that shaped Devillard. What changes: a renewed management team, ready to write the next chapter with energy while building on the technical and human expertise that is the group’s strength.
This succession is not a break but a chosen continuity — designed to guarantee stability, performance and proximity. To our clients, partners and employees: thank you for the trust you have placed in us for more than sixty-five years. Together, under the leadership of François Pflieger and Luc Schenkel, we are beginning a new chapter with the same standards and the same ambition — to serve, protect and support your projects.
